Karolina Kiełpińska and Marta Lisiakiewicz
Emilia Oworuszko and Aleksandra Białkowska
We are four students from Wrocław University of Technology, in our last year of our Master’s studies. Each of us started the adventure with designing separately, following their own goals and undertaking various projects. At one point we met and immediately clicked with each other. It resulted in class projects done together and some fun times.
Brief information about the projects that you/your company have been involved with. For instance what scale have you focused on/preferred, any significant projects where company/individuals have been involved?
As a team this competition is our debut and now our goal is to undertake more architectural challenges together.
What does architecture mean to you and what is the role of an architect in your society?
To us, being an architect means staying open-minded. Exploring the world, learning more and more, and getting to know other cultures and points of life view led us to better develop. That includes not only skills growth, but also personal development.
Why do you participate in architecture vision competitions?
For now there is nothing we wish more than to get the possibility to share our enthusiasm, experiences and ideas for the new dimension of art and architecture.
What advice would you give to individuals who struggle to decide whether it would be beneficial for them to participate in architecture vision competitions?
Do it to grow not only as an architect but also as a person. These competitions are a great opportunity to have fun with the design and to learn new things. You lose nothing doing them while gaining additional experience. Not only that - you also broaden your knowledge which is beneficial to your own personal development.
