Offtec Srl was founded in 2016 by Flavian Basile and is based in Benevento, Italy. We are a young society whose core point of reference is ongoing collaboration between architecture and engineering professionals specialized in structural, infrastructural and architectural design. Our collaborative, research-based design method involves clients, stakeholders, and experts from early on in the creative process. We are an innovative, dynamic, ambitious team. We are Offtec.

Brief information about the projects that you/your company have been involved with. For instance, what scale have you focused on/preferred, any significant projects where company/ individuals have been involved?

This year, the Offtec team has taken part in international and national architecture competitions and designed projects in different architecture scales, from urban to landscape planning, and with different typologies, from railway station to emergency operation centre, from hospital to elderly house, from bridge to waterfront.

What does architecture mean to you and what is the role of an architect in your society?

Our idea of architecture includes three fundamental principles: environmental sustainability, ethics and positive social impact. An architect is a figure with a responsibility for the urban transformation process. An architect has the aim to design the future through creativity and social responsibility.

Why do you participate in architecture vision competitions?

Offtec, as a young society, decides to participate in architecture vision competitions to prove itself constantly and to compare with the major architectural groups at international level, increasing the quality of proposals.

What advice would you give to individuals who struggle to decide whether it would be beneficial for them to participate in architecture vision competitions?

We suggest that they participate in architecture competitions to improve their skills and to expand their vision of architecture.
