There have always been certain buildings and types of architecture that seem unable to shake off the stigma that surrounds them. Social housing, originally conceived as a place where workers could live and raise their families, has long held onto the image of lazy freeloaders and dangerous living environments.

And while some housing estates seem to surrender to this stereotype, there are some amazing projects being undertaken to combat the social stigma of social housing.
