We are a Sino-Italian group, based in Turin, Italy. In 2020, we founded STUDIO ISOMETRICO, a multidisciplinary workplace for the development of innovative ideas and projects in collaboration with architects and designers from China.

Brief information about the projects that you/your company have been involved with. For instance, what scale have you focused on/preferred, any significant projects where the company/ individuals have been involved?

Art, design, and small-scale architecture are our main fields of interest. We like to develop weird and out-of-the-ordinary designs, new things, which at times seem absurd.

What does architecture mean to you and what is the role of an architect in your society?

Architecture is the built realization of a particular idea. This idea can be about form and interactions in a physical or social landscape.

Why do you participate in architecture competitions?

Because it represents an occasion to explore extreme contexts and unique scenarios.

What advice would you give to individuals who struggle to decide whether it would be beneficial for them to participate in architecture competitions?

If you are a young architect longing to make positive changes to our built environment, participating in design competition is a way to make your voice heard, as well as to give yourself precious exposure to professional networks and a pool of opportunities.
