Ignacio Perez, Pablo Menéndez and Héctor Termenón from Spain
We are 3 spanish architects, we met each other working in the same architecture office in Berlin and we decided to carry out competitions on our own. We created Termenón.Pérez.Menéndez in 2018, after receiving the second prize in European Norway 14, and started developing the project together with the city hall of Alta.
This competition, Iceland Volcano Museum, is our second competition together as a partnership. We are interested in the urban scale and lately we have been developing a housing project in Norway which involves city planning and public spaces. On the other hand, we are also interested in architecture as a means by itself. Sometimes architecture has the chance to present itself as an autonomous object and we feel comfortable in this kind of scenario.
Architecture and its production is a constant effort of improving our surroundings on different scales. Therefore architects have the responsibility of making a better environment for everyday life, from the single unit to the whole metropolitan areas.
It gives you the chance to develop new ideas.
Participating in architecture competitions is always beneficial, it gives you the opportunity to improve your skills.
