参赛者必须以新颖且可行的住宅建筑设计填充香港极小的空闲土地，设计应能达到缓解城市经济适用房危机的目的。
香港像素住宅建筑竞赛总奖励基金达6,000美元，目前正在火热征稿，最终报名时间截至4月26日。
