Architecture competition "Construction Container Facelift" Honorable mention - Fu Su and Hong Yin Kuo

We’d like to take the opportunity to introduce you to the winners of the Honorable mention of our “Construction Container Facelift” competition - Fu Su and Hong Yin Kuo from Taiwan!

We are architecture enthusiasts from different architecture offices.

This is the first time we have collaborated to complete a competition project and we are not focusing on any particular scale of architecture. The architecture field we are interested in is to create spaces that can improve our daily life.

What does architecture mean to you and what is the role of an architect in your society?

Every time when we start a new project, we need to analyse a lot of information, such as the condition of the site, the metropolitan industry manufacture or the humanity. There are many kinds of problems that we need to solve, thought it has many challenges to be a sensible architect, it gave us motivation to learn more about this world.

Why do you participate in architecture vision competitions?

We think participating in competitions is a good chance to integrate all the skills and knowledge that you have learned from college, and to enhance the analytical skill in a short period of time.

What advice would you give to individuals who struggle to decide whether it would be beneficial for them to participate in architecture vision competitions?

An architecture competition provides a platform that allows you to see what others are thinking about the same project you have participated in. And it is a way to test and experiment your ideas.
