Roman Leonidov's Architectural Bureau has been working in Moscow since its creation in 1997. We are mainly operating in the field of designing private homes, residential and public interior environments of the LUXURY HOME level. Our company employs 20 people and has several business divisions, and specializes in modern timber houses.
Our company pursues opportunity management on various levels - from environmental design and city development to private housing, including landscape and interior design. Being based in Moscow, our projects are mainly localized in Russia. Among our more recently- completed large projects is the development of town-house communities near Moscow and in Volgograd, as well as renovation of the Yard Hotel in Sochi, Krasnodar Region.
What does architecture mean to you and what is the role of an architect in your society?
The chief principal of the Bureau is individuality and uniqueness of every project and withdrawal from the typical design. Under no circumstances would we approach our work from the standpoint of doing something for the sake of just doing it - we are in constant search for our own narrative and road plan.
Why do you participate in architecture vision competitions?
We are interested in public opinion - we see it as an exchange, competition and a challenge. We are always open for discussion and are ready to share our vision and experience with others.
What advice would you give to individuals who struggle to decide whether it would be beneficial for them to participate in architecture vision competitions?
Don't wait for permission and create! Always keep in mind why you are doing something and use minimum tools to reach maximum emphasis and efficiency.
