The San Francisco Affordable Housing Challenge is the latest in the Bee Breeders affordable housing competition series, this time tasking participants with the challenge of making the most expensive city in America more affordable. The high-tech city by the bay has seen the gap between supply and demand grow exponentially in the past few decades, and design submissions will need to put their creativity to the test to inspire a new approach to affordable housing that could revolutionise the region.
The San Francisco Affordable Housing Challenge is open to all architecture and design enthusiasts until April 21, 2020, with a prize fund of $6,000 to be divided amongst the winners.
Bee Breeders continues its collaboration with ARCHHIVE BOOKS for this competition and will also include selected winners in their upcoming print publication on the topic of affordable housing, set for publication in Winter 2020.
